It’s not every day that the President of the United States makes an announcement that’s right up my alley. National Parks — love ’em … 4th Grader — got one … 2015-2016 School Year — ready to hit the road.

NPSemblemThe National Park Service hopes to get 4 million 4th graders into the parks during the coming school year, and is even upping its efforts to help qualifying low-income schools with travel costs.

Here are a couple of resources where you can find out more:

This opportunity already has my copywriter/marketer brain spinning, and Great Outdoors Copywriting proposals are already underway. It’s all just a dream, so far, but here’s where I’m heading with this …

1 Family

1 4th Grader

1 Year in the National Parks

Anybody care to grab your 4th Grader and join us?

If we were to do this, we would like to do it in a way that would help other kids get outside and get to the parks. I’ve already got a few ideas percolating, but would love to hear what ideas you all have to share.

Take Care,
