Endurance

One of my first assignments as a cub reporter was to cover a top-ranked racewalker on her quest to help people get in shape through walking. From my own modest efforts to get back into running to covering elite endurance athletes, I have always been drawn to the sweat, grit, and transcendence of the long haul. Here are a few examples of my writing about this domain of the few, the fast, and the longsuffering.
